I have been getting into Google Earth a lot lately, particularly for tracking sacred sites around the world. something about the “god’s eye view” appeals to me. Think: Nazca meets modern technology. Anyway, apparently that is not all that Google Earth is good for: citizens of Baghdad make use of the online satellite map, Google Earth, to avoid getting kidnapped or killed.

I’ve become more of a Facebook user lately. Now more familiar with its privacy features. At first I thought it was a good idea to not allow access to anyone. Now I think that is silly — with some caveats to come in a later post. For now, a funny video about Facebook use
