Fun With Google

I often use Google Maps to navigate to new places. Having just moved to London in January and now to TO in September, I find I need it frequently. Also, I prefer it to Mapquest or Yahoomaps by virtue of its flexibility.

However, just today I discovered you can superimpose satellite images on to your map searches. For accuracy sake, I decided to test it on my house. Here is the result. Not bad–not perfect, but not bad either.

Hi Chris, I just stumbled across your blog while procrastinating this evening and thought I would say hi while passing through. I chose this post because over my summer break I became addicted to Google Earth. I realize that you have likely discovered this technology, but this is one of MY favorite inventions. It has inspired my new obsession with Easter Island. I’ve had to curb my use though with the onslaught of school, ugh.
I hope Toronto is treating you well!
